About this event

Thank you for registering to participate in Project Unity's Community 3-Point Contest! This exciting activity is part of our Together We Ball community event! Final confirmation of participants will be sent two weeks prior to the event. Participation is limited and participants must register. On-site registration is not allowed. Top two winners will receive gift cards of varying values and bragging rights!

Eligibility:

- Participant must be 16 years and older

- Participant must not be part of a professional league or team (does not include high school teams or adult intramural/community leagues)

- One person per household eligible to sign up and play

- Participant must be a team player, exhibit courteous and sportsman-like conduct on the court, be kind on the court to fellow players and be respectful at all times to referees, volunteers and event staff

- Participants who demonstrate arrogance on the court or aggressive behaviors towards players will be disqualified

- Participants must self-check for Covid-19 symptoms before attending the event and take a Covid-19 home test the day prior

- Participants must not have been exposed to ANYONE exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms within the last week

If you are unable to comply with the requirements, please be considerate and do not register.

3-Point Contest Rules:

- Participants will attempt to make as many three-point field goals as possible from one position behind the three-point line in one minute.

- Each participant receives 5 basketballs to cycle through as many times as possible in one minute

- Each ball is worth one point each

- Six contestants will compete at each goal post for the first round

- Scores do not carry over to next rounds

- Top 3 scoring contestants from each goal post will compete in the second round at respective goal post

- Top finalist from each goal post will compete in a final round at one goal post

- Top scorer from final round wins 1st place followed by 2nd place score

Waiver: Please read and acknowledge as part of the form questionnaire

I ______________________ freely sign up to play in the Community 3-Point Contest as part of Together We Ball on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at Paul Quinn College. I understand this is a community activity and I assume all risk of injury while participating in the activity and will not bring legal suit against Union Development Corporation dba Project Unity, its Board of Directors, staff, event partners, event sponsors or any other supporting organizations/individuals in the event of an injury due to an accident during the course of practicing or playing in the game. I also give photo/video permission.

- Skills and Drills Youth Camp at 10 a.m.

- High School Exhibition Game at 2 p.m.

- Community Resource Fair, face painting, giveaways at 2 p.m.

- The "Big Game" Pastor and Police at 3 p.m.
